Research

In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Steadman continues research in clinical and developmental psychology. On this page, you can learn more about Dr. Steadman's ongoing research and can even participate in certain studies if you want.

Dr. Steadman and his wife, Dr. Patricia Lin-Steadman, are conducting a research study on how COVID-19 has affected children and college students’ hobbies and interests, and how changes in hobbies and interests may be affecting mood. The study involves a 20-30 minute online survey and will help us better understand different factors that impact mood during a pandemic. Our hope is to use results to help us advise parents and kids about different things they can do during a pandemic to minimize impact on mood.

To participate, you or your child must be between grades 6 and 16 (college senior). For participants under 18, the child/student will complete the majority of the survey, but there will be a portion for parents too. If you are over 18 and no longer live with your parents, you can complete everything on your own.
